Devi works as a brand manager and PR specialist for The Golden Gallery, one of Orna's most prestigious museums. She takes pride in her work and dreams of reaching the very top of her career.
She first met Sable after booking a tattoo appointment with them, and their personalities immediately clashed: Devi's constant chatter and enthusiasm collided headfirst with Sable's reserved nature. To Sable's endless annoyance, she never quite went away, choosing instead to find progressively more reasons to stop by the studio to talk, always armed with a bribe (coffee and snacks).
Devi is often a bridge between people who might never have approached one another on their own, and she also has a habit of inserting herself into situations whenever she believes someone needs help. She was the one responsible for encouraging Sable to speak with Wilden for the first time during a film wrap party, unknowingly sparking a radioactive connection.
Devi is warm, energetic, and has a remarkable ability to find common ground even with people who would rather be left alone. The first thing most people notice about her is her openness, closely followed by the realization that she never seems to run out of things to say. Because of that, people often assume she is naive or less competent than she actually is.
Once Devi decides someone matters to her, she will be loyal to that person to the end of her days, unless they break her trust. With Sable, she quickly learned that their prickly words hide feelings Sable isn't ready to voice, but have nonetheless, and despite their constant attempts to drive her away, they became best friends - though Sable still wouldn't admit it.
But at the end of the day, her strengths can become weaknesses when pushed too far. Devi has a tendency to overcommit herself, regularly sets impossibly high standards for what she should accomplish, and often struggles to find the line that signals that someone should really be left alone. She hides how stressed she is until it becomes impossible to contain, at which point it blows up in her face with a surge of intense emotions. Despite that, her optimism remains remarkably resilient, driven by a belief that loyalty and kindness are always worth the effort.
